Q: Is ROLL-N-LOCK® available for my truck?
A: ROLL-N-LOCK® is available for all current model pickup trucks, except the GMC Sonoma and Chevy S-10 Stepside. Available models are listed in the Application Guide.

Q: Where can I actually see and touch a ROLL-N-LOCK®?
A: ROLL-N-LOCK® is sold through more than 2000 truck accessories dealers throughout the United States and Canada. Many of these dealers have operating displays for potential customers to examine. Click here to locate a dealer.

Q: What does a ROLL-N-LOCK® cost?
A: The Suggested Retail price of a ROLL-N-LOCK® M-Series™ is between $1,111 and $1,265, and an E-Series™ is between $1,705 and $1,910, plus installation and freight, depending on vehicle size or type and the local dealer. Because pricing policies may vary slightly from dealer to dealer, and freight cost is dictated by distance and quantity, we are unable to provide and exact price quotation.

Q: Can I buy a ROLL-N-LOCK® direct from the factory or must I go through a dealer?
A: It is important for ROLL-N-LOCK® Corporation to have the support and participation of truck accessories dealers and distributors throughout North America. This provides us the advantage of maintaining inventory in strategic locations and enables us to provide warranty service in every market area. To maintain this participation, ROLL-N-LOCK® Corporation is obligated to sell through its dealer network. We will sell direct only if we are not represented in your area.

Q: How long does it take to get a ROLL-N-LOCK®?
A: ROLL-N-LOCK®'s for most popular pickups are generally in stock at the factory or at a regional distributor, and are available for immediate shipment to your local dealer. Many dealers can provide almost immediate installation.

Q: How strong is the ROLL-N-LOCK® cover, how much weight will it hold?
A: The ROLL-N-LOCK® cover will withstand a concentrated load of about 120 pounds. In other words, standing on the cover could cause visible damage. However, damaging the cover with even twice the amount of force referred to does not mean that a forced entry can be achieved. The result would simply be deformation of the cover body. A distributed load, such as snow, is easily managed.

Q: Will drilling be required to attach a ROLL-N-LOCK® to my truck?
A: Drilling on most trucks is limited to the tailgate only, as the primary attaching means is accomplished with ROLL-N-LOCK®'s patented clamp-on track system. Attachment of the tailgate extrusion (tailgate locking closure strip) requires five small, self-drilling screws, which are tucked neatly within or under the extrusion. (See Tailgate Extrusion Installation Instructions). The Dodge Ram, Ford Sport Trac, and Ford Supercrew require minimal drilling into the down flange of the bedrail. The Ford Flareside is the exception, requiring coupling flanges which are screwed on to the bed rails.

Q: How will the vinyl surface material withstand the elements, particularly the sun?
A: The vinyl material used by ROLL-N-LOCK® is a product of Haartz Corporation, the world's leading producer of automotive and marine grade vinyl. It was developed for use in direct exposure conditions and meets the specifications of the large automakers. The very same material is used on the door panels and dashboards of many of the world's most popular vehicles.

Q: What is required to clean and maintain a ROLL-N-LOCK® cover?
A: The cover requires occasional treatment with RaggTopp Vinyl Protectant, a bottle of which is packaged with every ROLL-N-LOCK® cover. It should be applied each time you wash your truck. Click here for Care & Maintenance Instructions.

Q: I have an over-the-rail bed liner. What alterations would be required to adapt a ROLL-N-LOCK® cover to my truck?
A: Adapting a ROLL-N-LOCK® to a pickup with an over-the-rail bed liner requires extensive alterations of the liner and for the most part, doubles the installation effort. Click here for Over-the-Rail Bed Liner Alteration.

Q: Is ROLL-N-LOCK® a watertight application?
A: In a word, no. ROLL-N-LOCK® is a movable system, making it almost impossible to achieve absolute water tightness. However, properly installed, ROLL-N-LOCK® is a reasonably dry application. Some dripping can occur when parked in a continuous rain. This is generally at the tailgate area. Some applications are more problematic in this regard due to unusual bed configurations. Conditions on the Ford Flareside and Supercrew applications cause the tailgate to be more susceptible to dripping than conventional applications.

Q: What are the differences between ROLL-N-LOCK® and "Brand X"?
A: ROLL-N-LOCK® Corporation has long been the industry leader in retractable technology and is the birth place of almost all product innovations within this field. It is this innovativeness, coupled with our continuing commitment to quality, that has made ROLL-N-LOCK® the fastest growing producer of retractable covers in the world. We invite and encourage comparison of our product to the competition, please review the Compare Covers.
